June saw 17 Dribbble Meetups in 9 countries! This month Dribbblers listened to awesome speakers, participated in Analog Playoffs, and mingled with other designers. Portsmouth, UK @ The Fat Fox
Portsmouth had a great first Dribbble meetup. Organizers Joanna Eyre and Scott Birnie reported, “We had a great time. It was an awesome event with a lot of great speakers and feedback too.” They also ran a pre-event Dribbble playoff and competition to design a set of stickers. Dribbblers were asked to create a rebound of the offical meeup shot. See the entries here and take a look at the winning designs as stickers!

Pune, India @ Globant
Pune had a great first Dribbble Meetup. They had between 60-80 attendees join them for design fun. See more photos from the Pune Dribbble Meetup here.
Organizer Karna Shukla said, “This was our first meetup and we had a great start of meetup culture in Pune, India. Designers from different parts of India flew down to the Globant office to be a part of #globantdribbble. We also had some awesome activities like a photo booth with props, typography lab and sketching. We had gifts, Dribbble swag, games, pizza, and coke over design thinking talk!”
Riga @ FROONT HQ
The 3rd Riga Dribbble meetup was hosted at FROONT HQ. Organizer Sandijs Ruluks said, “This time we focused on design for startups. Therefore we invited designers from Infogram and Edurio to share their stories on designing products from scratch. It was super exciting—around 50 people showed up!”
Wuhan, China
Wuhan had a great fist Dribbble Meetup. They received support from SOHU focus and Mucang Technology Lo.t, and xiaomi Lo.td. They had participants from Baidu, Alibab, AsiaInfo, Sohu and other Internet companies. They also hosted students from the Academy of Fine Arts Cobai. Want to learn more? New Orleans @ Parish Ink
Organizer Dionne Grayson reported 23 Dribbblers and some new faces at the June NOLA Dribbbble meetup.
The New Orleans Dribbble community now has a Facebook page and a Tumblr. Check them out to stay updated on news and events. The next NOLA Dribbble Meetup is August 5th!
Manchester @ Hello House
The June Manchester Dribbble meetup had about 30-40 designers and pizza! From organizer Mark Wheeler, “This month’s Dribbble Meetup was hosted on the first sunny day of the year in Manchester! A great turnout from local designers and startups, free beer and pizza was provided courtesy of our sponsors.”
Pittsburgh @ Duolingo
Organizer Sean Chin reported, “The Dribbble meetup, which was hosted at Duolingo’s headquarters, drew a diverse group of designers from the Pittsburgh area. In attendance were around 60 students, professionals, and aspiring professionals who were all excited to meet and connect with other designers from the community. The event was a great success and we hope there are more to come!”
Boston @ MassArt
From organizer JP Boneyard: “MassArt and The National Poster Retrospecticus played host to this non-traditional Dribbble meetup. Over 500 people were in attendance while Dan McCarthy’s “Ten Year’s of Prints” show was on display in tandem with a mini NPR pop-up show. The icing on the cake was AntiDesigns slinging some ink during a live printing session and free print giveaway!”
Istanbul @ Protel
Istanbul had a great meetup with about 70 Dribbblers from Istanbul and all around Turkey. They put together an awesome video recap of the meetup. Watch it here!
Organizer Burak Can said, “We did a networking session first and then enjoyed the talks from Ahmet Sulek, who founded Panda, and Zeynep Kinli, who is a great designer and illustrator. Our meetup was hosted by a very hospitable company named Protel.”
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
From organizer Helvécio da Silva: “Rio de Janeiro hosted a small and cozy Dribbble Meetup in June. It was very informal and focused on explaining what Dribbble is about. We had the presence of Cesar, who runs a marketing agency in Rio, and Erica from the Brazilian Bank for National Development (BNDES), one of the major banks in Brazil. We met at a local Starbucks, then decided to have dinner in a restaurant around the corner to continue a great conversation.”
Dallas @ Oven Bits
This month, Dallas Dribbblers listened to a presentation by Etsy’s VP of Design, Randy J. Hunt. The meetup was sponsored and hosted by Oven Bits. Photos by Oven Bits Design and Jeremy Johnson.
Paris @ TheFamily
The first meetup in Paris was a success, with about 90 designers in attendance under the palm trees of TheFamily. They had two talks by Guillaume Simon and Jeremy le Van and an awesome live lettering performance by Sarah Dayan. Read more about Sarah’s lettering piece on her blog.
Kevin Cudennec shared, “It was great to finally be able to put faces on some usernames, and very nice to see the French Dribbble community gathered in one place for the evening. We can say that it was the first one, but far from the last!”
Seattle @ Substantial
Substantial hosted 75 designers at the June Seattle Dribbble Meetup. Organizer Paul Norris said, “It was great to get the Seattle Dribbble members back together, and we were introduced to many new faces in Seattle’s design scene. The team at Substantial had a great time and look forward to organizing a second event!”
Saint Louis, MO @ Urban Chestnut Brewing Company
Organizer Franki Cambeletta reported about a dozen people at the first Saint Louis meetup. They just had their second meetup last night—so look for more updates on the group in next month’s wrap-up.
